Microsoft—Saving us from the Evils of Speech…yeah thanks a lot.
For some odd reason I get the idea that Microsoft agrees with communism…

Today I read an article from SlashDot, “Microsoft Patents the Censoring of Speech” that tells about, well…that Microsoft patents the censoring of speech. Of course this is to protect the kids since, after all, that’s not up to the parents to do.
Seriously I think it’s useless. We don’t need to censor free speech heard by the public, that’s for parents to do. If your kids are listening to the radio and someone says a swear word, turn it off. If the TV is on and someone says a swear word, turn the freaking thing off. If there’s a video game that goes against how you raise your kids, turn it off.
I’m not parent, but I was raised by parents so I know this much. Kids are going to hear “bad language” and see “bad things” every once in a while, get over it. Kids often hear it from their own parents just as much as on the TV or radio or on one of Eminem’s songs.
I have to agree with this comment made by one of the readers at SlashDot:
“I’m all in favor of protecting budding young minds from the use of profanity as a substitute for creative expression…”
I know I speak for many of us here when I say:
Fuck you.
Keep your intellectual parenting pursuits where they belong: in your home. Raise your own fucking kids, and let me raise mine without government interference. We’ll let them both compete in 20 years and see who did a better job.
The moment you get your way with bad language censorship, I get my way with religious censorship.
See, Microsoft is stupid after all.
Censoring the internet won’t deter the child molester. Censoring speech won’t hide the rage. Hiding the symptoms won’t cure the disease.

Dude this sucks fuc%% Bul&&&##. Ahaa… What exactly do they want to achieve by doing this? I am not sure. Knowing Microsoft implementations of software I am not to sure they will do it right

Yeah, the radio might get an audible bluescreen, or it just won’t work at all at certain points.
I think that Microsoft just wants to control everyone.
