Windows 7 has a name: Windows 7…
First of all, sorry for not posting anything for a long while, I’ve been involved in WAY too much and still am.
Anyways, I thought I’d bring up Microsoft and the new name of their next Windows OS. I just read a post of how “Windows fu**s up a again, Hope it’s Just the Name!”
For real, the “Windows 7″ code name is the actual name of the upcoming OS. Now I don’t know if Microsoft’s team is seriously lacking any form of creativity or what. It seems that Steve Ballmir couldn’t find a imaginative name if his last strand of hair depended on it–from my point of view it looks like he has no problem finding his crack pipe.:D
When we look back over the past editions of Windows, 3.1 and XP were the best. I have to hand it to Windows for coming up some OK names. When it comes down to it I like the version number just the same. But why does Microsoft have to change the trend now? It’s bad enough that Windows just plain sucks but they had to make it even worse. Is it just me or is this company showing signs of dying? Windows has sucked since Windows 95, but just lately they just seem pathetic.
As Chirag said we have something to looks forward to:
Now the fun part we’ll be running Internet Explorer 8 (or 9) and Mediaplayer 11 (or 12) on Windows 7… excitement is just Killing me
!
I think I’ll just stick with Linux, haha, they have real version numbers. IE8 still looks like any old IE, with tabs. All of Microsoft’s other software just touches bare basics. I can’t even use wordwrap on Notepad without it messing up.
I’m not even interested in what Windows 7 has to offer. After Vista, I’m just like, “Yeah…Linux can do all of those things and more…”
From what I’ve seen it’s suppose to have a Mac style task bar and some groovy window effects, nothing that hasn’t been done years ago by Mac and Linux. Windows can be compared to a dry cough.
Windows 7 – Another motivation to switch to a Linux distrobution.
