JQuery, for a few less headaches.
When I think of JavaScript I think of a nice syntax, long hours of cross-browser headaches and the object oriented design that doesn’t make any sense. Worse yet, JavaScript has poor error detection—especially for IE.
So I’ve decided, from now on I’m going to use a JS framework that will save me the time of starting a new 7 game series of headaches and hair pulling every time a start a new project. My choice is JQuery. JQuery seems to be widely used and will save the time and money it takes to code cross-browser. Development should be about channeling your creative abilities into your work, not fighting with a bunch of garbage.
Not that I look back over the bit of web experience I’ve had(around 4-5 years), the memories of JavaScripting have to be the worst. I think the less we use of JavaScript the better, but while we do we might as well use JQuery.

Hey Clinton I am sure you know JQuery but if you need a reference I had written a small post for this.

Hey Chirag,
Thanks a lot. That’s a lot of info. I’ll bookmark it and show it to my co-worker who is working on a CMS, it uses a lot of JavaScript and we he’s sick of fighting cross-browser code.
Thanks again.
